
Mark
Smith founded Summit Business Advisors in 2006 to continue the work
he enjoyed during his 30 year career in the financial services industry.
Beginning in 1976, Mark has worked with owners of small and mid-market
companies in providing financial solutions to expand a company, enter
new markets and acquire or divest businesses.
During his career as
a commercial banker, Mark worked in eight states and various cities
throughout the West and Midwest. He holds a degree in Business Administration,
is licensed as a broker in California and Nevada. Mark also holds
a Financial Planning Certificate from Oklahoma City University. He
is a member of the Business Enterprise Institute for Advisors, International
Business Broker Association, California Business Brokers Association
and the Financial Planners Association.
Today, Mark specializes in
working with the owners of privately-held businesses in determining
corporate growth strategies, comprehensive exit planning and the
eventual sale, merger or transition of a company to family members
or key employees. While working in these areas, Mark helps his client’s
develop their complete plan by focusing on the client’s personal
needs and goals.
